Thanksgiving Day 2008

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday with family and friends like we did.

Mom and Dad celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary the 29th, and Dad his 78th birthday the 28th. A sure cause for celebration!

To top off a great day, my Cowboys won their game against the Seahawks!!

Two days before Thanksgiving!

My turkey is defrosting in the fridge, the pies are sitting on the table, along with the dinner rolls and the bread for the pineapple casserole. The whole family will be here Thursday and I am so looking forward to it. I have to work again tomorrow so I guess the house "cleaning" will have to wait until I get home tomorrow night!

Burt and BJ took two friends to see the Flyers play the Stars last night in Philly. Burt of course, wore his Mike Modano jersey. Modano did him proud by scoring two of the three goals the Stars made! But the Stars lost to the Flyers 4-3.

It's raining buckets outside today....

I know, we need the rain....but it's knocking all the pretty leaves off the trees and leaving them bare!! I so enjoy the fall colors and they've stuck around for quite a while this fall!

What better to do than scrap while stuck inside? Here's my latest layout, done for the Rusty Pickle blog challenge on ScrapAttack Scrapbooking......I used a picture of my brother and his youngest daughter, taken a few years ago when they were here enjoying the pool.

I've been very busy scrapping, got a few new layouts done. All old photos of the kids way back when....

Happy Birthday to BJ! #26!!

Happy 26th birthday to BJ! The photo is from his 25th party last year, what a difference a year makes! He's now married (sorry ladies!) and not Zorro anymore, he's wearing a kilt.....for Halloween!

Last Friday night we all helped Anna and Jeff move into their new house in Parkville (just inside the beltway in Baltimore). Dad rented a large box truck, which was a good idea, as it started to sprinkle late that night. We managed to pack up everything and get it down there in one piece. Left it all in the house for Anna and Jeff to unpack when they can. I wish them happiness in their new digs!

These are the days......

Anna and I made a trip to Milburn Orchards Saturday to get some apples. Their apple cider donuts are yummy!

Anna and Jeff are busy packing up all their stuff, they are moving into their new house this weekend in Baltimore. So it will be a busy weekend for all of us as we help them move.

This photo of Mom and Buddy was taken by Amusement Business magazine at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, CA back in 1989. I had the perfect papers for a backdrop for the photo.

Another YUCKY football day.....

Geez, it can't get much worse than this......the Cowboys lost to the Rams today! Romo is out and the 2nd string quarterback is in over his head. T.O. looks like he's p.o.'d big time.....

Baby it's Cold Outside!

It seems like the temperature plunged overnight, from a high of 80's during the day to like 60 today. I guess Indian Summer is over.....

Worked on my scrapping last night and finished a layout of Anna when she started kindergarten. How time flies! Seems like yesterday she was 5....

So now they're saying Romo might play tomorrow. Seems like to me he might be pushing it. We don't want him to be out for the rest of the season!

Yikes.....Romo is out for four weeks! OH NO!

Hear it on the news this morning.....what a bummer.

Yucky football day!

The 'Boys lost to Arizona in the first minute of overtime. They did not play well at all today, Romo needs to get some mojo going!

What a beautiful day!

It's October, but it's like 75 degrees out and a nice little breeze blowing! I cleaned my car out today and then BJ and I washed it in at Mom and Dad's. We also washed his pickup, Dad's pickup and Mom's car. It's too nice today to stay inside!
